Jean started out learning carpentry skills by working alongside his father.

He also learnt plastering, painting and wallpapering skills from skilled tradesmen that worked with his father.
They also taught him which products to use for a specific surface and correct techniques to achieve best results.

Jean spent 5 years learning as much as he could by being hands on with his training.

He then decided to start his own painting and decorating business at age 21.
He built up the business over several years and earned himself a very good reputation in the UK,
based on his knowledge, reliability, and the quality of work he produced.

As a result he was asked to complete projects
for some well-known celebrities in the UK
and was also asked to work on prestigious projects
such as refurbishment work on the famous Tower Bridge in London,
the interior decorating of the Adelphi Theatre
and the interior decoration in the Dorchester Hotel.
